It is a big step when you decide to leave your baby at a nursery, we will encourage parents/carers and mothers-to-be to spend time in our nursery. Building relationships with the staff who will be caring for their baby.
At this young age, babies learn through their senses. Sounds, smells, physical contact, singing, games and talking to your baby are vital, and later encouraging physical skills for crawling, standing and walking.
The settling in period will establish routines for feeding and sleeping and continued in consultation with parents.
All play activities are encouraged when the time is ready, at the child’s own pace.
